Essential Economics International has a team of experienced in-house Urban and Regional Economists and Planners. We specialise in Urban and Regional Economics and Development in developed, transitional and developing countries. Our principal, John Henshall, is a senior professional with established reputations in international development, training and capacity building. He is supported by in-house staff and associated consultants with a wide range of skills and experience. We also have an experienced project management team.

John Henshall - Director

John Henshall is an Economist and Town and Regional Planner with over thirty years consulting experience in urban and regional economics, land use planning, housing and community consultation. He has worked as Team Leader and specialist on development projects for AusAID, ADB and World Bank in Indonesia, China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Bangladesh and Pakistan. His work has included urban and shelter sector policy development, such as Urban Services development in China, urban land management, water supply and sanitation and rural community development projects.
